You'll find most current generation Android tablets are using a 1 GHz dual core nVidia Tegra 2 processor but ARCHOS have partnered with Texas Instruments to boost the performance range offered by the current family of OMAP 4 smart multi core processors. G9 tablets are available in Classic and Turbo models, giving you the choice between a 1 GHz processor, 1.2 GHz processor and, ultimately, a 1.5 GHz processor. |  |

As most films and most encoding software use the H.264 High Profile codec for full HD 1080p videos, it's important to be able to read them smoothly. Although standard nVidia Tegra 2 powered tablets are only able to read H.264 High Profile videos at 720p, and even then it's a choppy experience, the ARCHOS G9 tablet with the powerful Texas Instruments OMAP 4 dual core processor is able to read H.264 High Profile in Full HD 1080p smoothly and easily at over 30fps.

ARCHOS multimedia apps give you the option to browse your music and videos either directly in your folder structure (if you're organised) or from the automatically organised multimedia libraries. With film and TV series metadata automatically downloaded, even your video files are automatically organized by title, actor, director, year, season, episode…
