The new ARCHOS Content Portal provides quick and easy access to the latest movies, TV shows and music directly to your ARCHOS device. The ACP is a partnership with top-tier content companies to bring movies, TV shows and music downloads directly to the ARCHOS PMP or TV - without a PC.
Use the integrated WiFi to download the latest entertainment content from our partner's online stores directly to Gen 5 WiFi devices. For the first time, you can download favorite movies, TV shows and music wherever you are without being tied to the PC or Mac.
The ACP provides hassle-free purchasing and downloading of content:
- ACP gives you the choice of content providers, so you're not forced to use just one.
- Register once on the ACP and your shopping preference is set to the retailer who sold the unit.
- Content is downloaded wirelessly and resumed from that point if connection is interrupted.
The ACP is presented as a specially-designed Website for best viewing on PMP and TV:
- Web pages are dynamically resized for best rendering on the smaller PMP display.
- Easy navigation through the ACP on the TV via the DVR Station Gen 5 and its new remote control with built-in keyboard.
ARCHOS TV Program Guide
With the ARCHOS TV+ , you get a personalized TV Program Guide.
Just select your local channels and favorite programs on the registration page, view all programs on the grid on the device and schedule recordings with a click of the ARCHOS remote control on the selected program. Automatically update the TV Program Guide via the free ArchosLink software or WiFi connection (for WiFi devices).
Browsing and Streaming PC
With Gen 5 devices let you stream content from your PC to your ARCHOS. You can enjoy movies, TV shows and music that are stored on your ARCHOS or even from your TV via the DVR Station Gen 5. Through the home WiFi connection and the UPnP technology, you can enjoy the entire shared digital media library of your home PC in your living room, not just in your office. As easily as on your device, via your current video, photo, music or browser icons, you can also transfer wirelessly shared files using your ARCHOS Browser.
Download Widgets
A widget is a piece of software that adds your favorite features to your Archos Gen5. It gives you a fun, quick and easy access to hundreds of tools… right on the device. The package contains 7 popular widgets including a calculator, the weather forecast, a currency converter and a note writer. To be able to use widgets, you need to purchase the Web Browser plug-in. You can then download the free widget package by clicking on the links below. Widgets are compatible with the ARCHOS 605 WiFi and 705 WiFi, and with the ARCHOS TV+. And when you are ready for more, you can download additional widgets and try them out directly from your ARCHOS WiFi device.
