Style, form and function

A stunning tower of alluiminium like no other, beautifully styled and more functions than any radio has the right to own! Construction wise the Revo K2 has wanted for nothing, being built primarily of glass fibre filled ABS for rigidity and then clad from head to toe in anodised alluminium, an architectural marvel! with every design element there for a prupose!

Functionality has been taken to a new level with the astonishing Revo K2, featuring a radio which supports DAB, DAB+, FM and internet radio allowing you access to over 11,000 stations from around the globe. Just as your thinking great that'll keep me busy for a few years trawling through all 11,000+ stations to find a new favorite radio show the Revo K2 also offers full audio and video playback from a variety of Apple devices, access to online music service Last.fm and the ability to wirelessly stream music files from any connected PC or Mac.

Design elements

The high desity walls are structured to prevent unwanted distortion and vibration when the full 40 watts of high resolution digital audio are unleashed. The sound is crisp clear and precise yet still maintains rich mid tones and a deep warm bass, all courtesy of a quartet of neodymium Balanced Mode Radiator speaker drivers and dual Class-D amplifiers.

The classy aluminium casing is is topped off with a a soft touch roofing system incorporating all the buttons to opperate the system with the front facade housing a secret-until-lit OLED display screen which is extremely classy in black with silver text to match the cladding. The foot of the Revo K2 hides a motirised dock for your Apple device and hidden around the back are a further array of connection options such as Stereo RCA, Digital optical out, apple video out and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack.

Accoustic engineering

The Revo K2 features four Balanced Mode Radiator speaker drivers that utilise rare earth magnetics and bending wave technology with pistonic motion, to create the full audio range. The result is near 360 degree dispersion and a massively extended listening sweet spot.

The audio signal is digitised at greater than CD quality, then the DSP processes the proprietary Digital Signal to deliver superior audio quality and power. The perfect loudspeaker would radiate all sound frequencies equally, however the dimensions, corners and sides of the K2 speaker enclosure colour the sound. By measuring the response of the K2 in the lab, and then using Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and applying Newton's Law to create an equal and opposite response, we are able to create a big speaker sound from what is a relatively compact device.

Revo use twin Audium Class-D power amplifiers to employ variable power supply architecture, allowing the full 16 bit digital audio resolution to be realized even at low volumes, the result is crisp and clear reproduction of even the quietest pieces of music, and faithful reproduction of high dynamic range material. The high density casing provides a very rigid structure which is acoustically excellent featuring a rear bass port scientifically modelled to boost low-end performance eliminating audio turbulence.

Further functionality

In addition to its terrestrial and internet radio capabilities, K2 will also provide access to online music service Last.fm*. Simply choose an artist or genre and let Last.fm build the perfect playlist from its library of over 5 million tracks unique to you, and fresh every time. Alternatively, you can use your existing Last.fm profile if you have one.

Other iPod models and alternative brands of media player can also be connected easily to K2 via a standard 3.5mm auxiliary cable. There is also the option to plug in composite video out cables, to view iPod/iPhone/iPad movies, slideshows etc. on your television.
